Sundari Identity & Standards Manual
Sundari is an underwater, highend resturaunt that would theoretically exist in Dubai. I started with the logo which I felt needed to be timeless. From there came the stationary system and the standards manual with the same look and feel. The final manual is bound in a french fold.
Laser Quest Rebranding
This project is a total revamp of Laser Quest’s image. My goal was to give them a slightly more sophisticated look and feel but still keep fun aspect. My inspiration for the ‘vehical’ wrap was the motion of the subway doors. The opening and closing of the door would animate the guns to fire at each other.
Vicious Cycle
This logo and project is for an extreme mountain biking shop. The poster above would be located somewhere in the shop. Above that is the two color newspaper or magazine ad. Opposite is the direct mailer that features a pop out Vicious Cycle for the customer to assemble and a coupon.
Conway Skateboards & Stationary
I designed the logo for Conway initially and from there I designed the skateboards with a similar color scheme. The theme for the skateboards is something natural, something electrical and something mechanical. The thin red lines indicate where the trucks would sit and the edge of the board.
Futura Font Specimen
This project is a font specimen booklet with the theme of space cafts from the movies. Each page contains information about each ship including who its captain was. The final book is printed and bound with a french fold.
Seattle City Chickens Identity
This project is a compilation of an educational program that is based around the benefits of owning chickens if you live in the city. I stuck with a simple two spot color pallet for the entire project and the space needle (with eggs) became the unifying element.
Grassroots Soap Packaging
My goal for this project was to create a soap box that has a natural and local feel to it, but also has a shelf presence. I wanted to create something that would catch a customer’s eye with the upswinging natural trend. I also wanted tp display the product as much as the packaging.
WILD AWARE UTAH
This is the campaign I did for Wild Aware Utah, Be Aware, Share, Care. It is comprised of a logo (bottom left), web page (top left), a two sided door hanger (top right), and a two sided brochure (bottom right). The whole campaign was based around the concept of making the locals of Utah aware of the vast wildlife that surrounds them including mountain lions, bears and moose. Another critical aspect of this project was the important information about what to do if you have an encounter with one of these animals. Overal, this was a great project and a good learning experience.
Tinker Town
This project is an ad series I did for Tinker Town Museum . Tinker Town is a road side attraction in Sandia Park, New Mexico. My goal for Tinker Town is to increase the public's knowledge and awareness of the place and hopefully increase the traffic/revenue there. The first slide is the series of full page magazine ads; each one is a little different but they all convey the same message. The second slide is one of the magazine ads but taking it and turning it into a half page, quarter page, and smart phone ad. The third slide is a direct mailer in the form of a postcard and a kids I SPY game featuring Tinker Town. The fourth slide is a pop-out web banner ad with a link to the I SPY game and website and last but not least a billboard ad.
House of Cards
The house of cards was a design and illustration project for designs sake. These card don't serve any other purpose besides looking pretty and having a little snippet of information on them. The subject that I chose for these was glass making because I find it absolutely fascinating and wish I knew how to do it. Each card focuses on a particular tool that you would use in glass making. On one side is the name and image of the tool and on the reverse is a photograph of a piece of glassware that corresponds with that tool (the color of the card also corresponds front to back). At the bottom of the image is "kiln" box I made to go with it.
